Meet the new Luxury Scotland Partner, Baxters of Scotland
We’re delighted to announce we’ve recently partnered with Baxters of Scotland.
This iconic company has been bringing the taste of Scotland to the world for over 150 years, through four generations of the Baxter family.
And, since we’re going to be partners, we really should do an official introduction, so here’s the story so far…
Setting up shop
It all started back in 1868 in the village of Fochabers near Elgin.
A young George Baxter decided to leave his job as gardener for the Duke of Richmond and run his own grocery business.
There, his wife Margaret began making jams and jellies. They proved a big hit with the locals, including the duke and his guests at Gordon Castle.
A can-do attitude
George’s son William then built a factory, and his wife Ethel pioneered the use of canning to preserve locally grown fruit, before progressing to canning soups.
Soon, high-end department stores Harrods and Fortnum and Mason had placed their orders for the famed foods.
Happy hampers
Fast forward to 2024, and Baxters is still producing a diverse range of delicious products - from hearty soups to artisanal curds. There’s no sign of things slowing down, either - they’ve recently launched a range of high-end gift hampers to cater to every taste.
Each hamper is packed full of classic Baxters products, all reflecting their commitment to quality. They’re perfect for any occasion – Father’s Day, birthdays, housewarmings, or simply a sunny picnic in the park.
