A new 250 mile Coast to Coast route
A picturesque new 250 mile cycle route that takes in some of Scotland's most breath-taking countryside is being created. The Coast to Coast route will run from Stranraer in the west to Eyemouth in the east, making it one of the longest on-road tours in the UK.
The South of Scotland is already recognised as a destination that offers a wide range of experiences and activities for visitors including walking and cycling. The project is aiming to be delivered in time for the 2023 UCI World Championships in August next year. Riders who want to test themselves can tackle the Coast to Coast Challenge route over four days but are highly recommended to slow down, immerse themselves and enjoy more of what the South of Scotland has to offer by completing the Explorer route over eight days or more.

Luxury Scotland properties are perfectly located for enjoying this route. You could begin in the southwest at either Glenapp Castle or Knockinaam Lodge, then as you head east, enjoy a restorative stay at Schloss Roxburghe and reinvigorate yourself at their newly opened spa. Then divert slightly to the East to Cringletie, beside Peebles, to complete your tour of this beautiful part of Scotland.
