Cromlix comes into bloom
You’ve heard of the hotel’s famous owners, and perhaps even the heritage country house itself, but you’ve never seen it quite like this.
Following an extensive period of renovation, personally led by Kim Murray, Cromlix is a hotel transformed, beautifully and elegantly reinvigorated by interior designer Suzanne Garuda.
Based in Dunblane, the five-star Stirlingshire retreat has managed to retain the original character which so charmed Kim and Andy, who acquired the Victorian building back in 2013 after many years of visiting with their families. Yet now, it’s blossomed into a brighter, bolder new version of itself. Feast your eyes on abundant florals, curated antique furniture, directional design choices, and eclectic yet refined soft furnishings, offering a fresh take on classic luxury.
If you can tear yourself away from the new interiors (or the Glasshouse restaurant more likely, with its inspired menu of locally sourced and imaginatively prepared Scottish cuisine), 34 acres of secluded woodland and grounds are just waiting to be explored. And if you prefer your own space, we’d recommend the Laurel Gate Lodge, a one-bedroom hideaway for guests in need of a little more peace and quiet.
There’s a room (and a bag of Andy’s granny’s shortbread, an endearing personal touch) with your name on it: book yourself in now for a stay and you’ll also benefit from our grand re-opening offer, which includes overnight accommodation in one of the refurbished rooms, a bottle of champagne on arrival, a MODM wellness gift, a three-course dinner and a full Scottish breakfast before you, most regrettably, hit the road.
